If you really want healthy hair, go for all natural shampoo recipes. Stay away from the chemical polluted shampoos that can be very harmful to your hair and scalp.

There are many good natural shampoos available in the stores that you can use for healthy hair especially the sulfate free shampoo. However, you can decide to make your own at home, which can be exceptionally receptive to your hair and scalp condition.

Below are some all natural shampoo remedies and recipes for you to consider.

Soapwort shampoo

This herbal shampoo recipe is recommended for cleaning the scalp of oil residues, dry cells and encouraging hair growth.

Take

  • 2 tablespoons dried soapwort

  • 2 tablespoons borax

  • 1 tablespoon chamomile flowers

Mix together these herbs in a chinaware or pottery container and pour 2 ½ cups of boiling water over it. Cover and let it steep for about 2-4 days.

Shake the container every now and then. Strain the liquid and let go the herbs. Use the solution to wash your hair regularly for cleaning and healthy hair.

It may not have the soapy-look of a shampoo, but its qualities are great. You may choose to add a little lavender to it to improve its fragrance.

  • Yucca root shampoo for cleaning scalp

Are you familiar with yucca root? This is one secret plant that can help you have healthy hair.

Yucca root grows mainly in the tropics such as parts of Africa, South America, Central America, the Caribbeans, and Asia.

It may be called different names in different places. It is called cassava in English Africa.

You can easily get yucca root in Central American stores, Mexican stores, and some other major stores like walmart.

How to make this-all natural shampoo

Chop the root into small pieces and blend it in a blender to make a pulp. Wait till it changes color from white to pale amber, and place a small amount of the pulp in cheesecloth and use it to wash your hair.

It will give your hair a shiny and silky look. For this shampoo to lather, make sure your hands are free from grease.

You may choose to dry the rest of the pulp in the sun by spreading it on a clean flat surface. This will preserve it for future use. Just add a little bit to cheese cloth, wet and lather to wash your hair.

White oak bark shampoo for coarse hair

Put 1 ounce of white oak bark in 1 cup of water and brink it to a boil. Simmer for about 20 minutes. Strain it and add the content to 1 ounce of liquid castile soap.

Anytime you shampoo your hair, add 3 tablespoons of the mixture to 1 tablespoon of honey and 1 beaten egg and use this to shampoo your

hair. Rinse the hair with equal part of apple cider vinegar and water mixed together. It also takes the coarseness out of graying or silver hair.

Indian shampoo recipe for clean soft and shiny hair Take equal measures of lime-peel powder, curry leaf powder, fenugreek seeds powder, mung dal beans powder, and shikakai powder. Mix all together and store away.

Use it as a shampoo to wash your hair. Wet your hair first and apply the mixture to it, massaging it into the scalp well.

The amount of the mixture you use depends on the thickness and length of the hair.

Let it stay on the scalp for about 10 minutes and rinse with warm water for the desired effect.

Dry cornstarch shampoo for hair shine

Sprinkle some dry cornmeal or cornstarch on your hair and use a brush with the bristles covered with used pantyhose or cheesecloth to brush the hair.

The cheesecloth or pantyhose absorbs the hair grease while the cornstarch or cornmeal pulls out dust from the hair. Next, use a silk scarf to shine the hair just like you shine a shoe.

Coarse salt shampoo to eliminate dust from hair

This is an all natural shampoo that is easily available. Place 1 tablespoon of coarse or kosher salt in an aluminum foil and warm in the oven for 5 minutes.

Rub the warm salt in your hair and scalp thoroughly and leave it for a few minutes to absorb the grease and loose the dust. Brush it out gently, wash the brush and reuse it to brush again until all the salt is removed.

An all natural shampoo is the best remedy for your hair. You can make your own or choose to buy some high quality ones from the store.
