Natural methods for dry hair treatment
Dry hair can mean many different things.
The hair can be fine and limp but dry, or coarse and curly but dry. It can also be oily at the roots and dry at the ends (dry ends).
Hair also tends to dry out when you grow older because the natural level of oil production from the body’s sebaceous glands is reduced.
There can be many other causes for dry hair. One ironic cause can be too much salty, chlorinated, or sudsy water.
Other common causes include excess shampoo, coloring, perms, excessive blow – drying, curling irons, and too much exposure to wind and sun. All these can result in parched hair, arid and flyaway locks.
Two important causes of dry hair are genetics, and improper diet lacking essential fatty acids, iron, and zinc.
If you were born with curly or frizzy hair, it may tend to be dry because it is overly porous.
You cannot do anything about genetics, but there are many natural home remedies for dry hair treatment, of those other factors that affect the hair.

Home remedies for dry hair
Avocado conditioner for dry hair
A conditioning hair treatment with avocado can effectively encourage the delivery of protein to the hair shaft, which is needed for hair strengthening and making the hair reasonably moist..
Lack of protein will make the hair brittle, and lack of moisture will make it look dry.
Here is the remedy: Mix 1 ripe avocado with a teaspoon each of jojoba and wheat germ oil in a medium bowl.
Apply the content to your shampooed hair and scalp, and massage well into the scalp with your fingers.
Cover hair with plastic bag for about 20 minutes, before washing it off. Try to do this once a week, and see the outcome.
Plain gelatin – protein for dry hair treatment
Protein treatments help to build up and make the hair shaft strong. It works well with fragile, dry, and brittle hair types.
Combine 2 teaspoons of gelatin with a cup of water and permit the gel to develop a little. Do not let it set all the way. Mix 1 or 2 drops of essential oils such as clary sage, and rosemary into the content alongside one teaspoon apple cider vinegar.
Shampoo your hair first and apply the content to your hair thoroughly with your hands, and wash it off after ten minutes. This treatment can be done in every 7 days.
Essential oils of aromatherapy
Essential oils help to bring back shine to dry hair. Add together 4 drops of cedarwood oil to 4 drops clary sage, an ounce of jojoba oil, and 2 drops of lavender, and use it to massage your scalp and hair.
Cover the hair and sleep with it till next day. Use the remedy twice a week for dry hair treatment.
Jojoba, clary sage, and cedarwood oils help regulate oil production in the sebaceous glands. Lavender helps to stimulate circulation to the scalp to improve the condition of the hair. The oils also feed and makes the hair naturally wet.
Add aloe to your shampoo
Aloe vera is good for healing, moisturizing, and normalizing dry hair. Add 1 teaspoon of 99 percent pure aloe gel to shampoo, and massage for about 5 minutes when you wash your hair. Make sure you wash the hair well after using the shampoo.
Mayonnaise for dry hair treatment
Mayonnaise is known to be an excellent conditioner. Apply it to the hair and leave it on for 10 – 60 minutes before washing it out. This is good for dry and damaged hair.

Take the recommended dosage of vitamins A, D, and E which are very important for good hair growth.
Biotin found mostly in beans, and selenium and Zinc, found in mushrooms and root vegetables contribute to good hair condition.
Do not use too much chemical products for your hair, for example dyes, and perms.
Do not use blow dryer more than once a week. You will need to wash your hair every other day and avoid using shampoos with harsh chemicals.

Conditioners will glue the layers back to the shaft. You may also want to add lubricant to the hair to prevent static electricity which can create frizz.
If you reconsider your diet and apply some of these natural home remedies for dry hair treatment, your chances of regaining healthy hair are great.
