Real head lice home remedies for treatment

Head lice are tiny insects that can be found on the scalp of people. They lay eggs and fix them to the hair with a glue-like substance.

It is hard to see the eggs but easier to spot the empty shells once the eggs are hatched. It takes 7-10 days for the eggs to be hatched. The empty shells are known as “nits.” You will need some aggressive head lice home remedies to destroy them.

Head lice or nits are mostly common in children particularly those of nursery and primary school age. They can be transferred easily from head to head.

A louse is smaller than a match head and it bites the scalp to feed on the blood. It doesn’t matter whether the hair is clean or dirty, it will clink to the hair shaft close to the warm scalp.

Some symptoms of head lice may include, constant scratching of head, red and irritated scalp, specks of white (nits) on the hair, red rashes on nape of the neck, and behind the ears.
