Add 1 cup of burdock root to a pint of water and bring to a boil. Decrease the heat and allow it to warm for ½ hour. Strain and apply the content to skin lesions several times daily, and expect to see some results.

Olive oil and peanut oil as psoriasis medicine

To reduce irritation, rub a 50-50 mixture of olive oil and peanut oil on thinner lesions to moisturize the skin. Rub castor oil on thicker lesions to reduce irritation.

Slippery elm for psoriasis relief

Slippery elm encourages healing by laminating the inside lining of the intestinal wall. Prepare a tea with ½ teaspoon of slippery elm in a cup of warm water.

The other 20 percent should consist of grains, lamb, poultry, fish, low fat, and low sodium diary products. This ratio will maintain the required alkaline in the body, needed for healing.

Foods to avoid

Foods to avoid must include foods that cause inflammation, such as red meat, hydrogenated fats which are common in processed foods.

Stay away from nightshade foods, such as white potatoes, eggplant, pepper, paprika, tomatoes, and tomatoes based foods like pizza, ketchup, and tomatoes juice.

The following foods are forbidden: Soda, potato chips, fried foods, shellfish, pickled and smoked foods, and foods processed with coconut oil, or palm oil.
