Home Remedies And
Treatment For Osteoporosis

A home remedy treatment for osteoporosis is able to restore bone density if the disease is at low level.

Though
the causes of osteoporosis may vary,
It is a situation that usually happens because of poor lifestyle and eating habits.
There may not be noticeable symptoms at the early stages of the disease, but the
latter stages can manifest symptoms
such as stoop postures, dowager’s hump, and easily broken bones.
Since this disease is mainly caused by lifestyle habits and dietary conditions, you can rely on natural home remedies to prevent or cure it the early stages.

If osteoporosis has developed to a high level, it is advisable to seek urgent medical care. The following tests will determine if you do have the disease, and to what level you have it: Blood, saliva, urine, hair, stool, and electrodermal tests.

Treatment for osteoporosis with home remedies
How to reverse and prevent osteoporosis with diet
The best place to begin your fight against osteoporosis, is the food table.
6 ounces of meat a day: The body needs 1½ to 2 oz of protein daily. If you eat 6 ounces of fish, poultry, or red meat, you will meet the body’s daily need.
If you eat more than that, your body will make waste protein products that are acidic. The kidneys may not be able to get rid of them, until mineral calcium buffers them.
The kidneys get calcium from bones. If you stay with the meat requirement, you can prevent the loss of bone density.
Calcium rich foods: It’s important to include calcium rich foods in your diet. 3 – 4 servings a day of low-fat diary products, such as yogurt, cheese, or vegetables with calcium such as collards, bok choy(Chinese cabbage), or spinach, will do the trick.
Other high calcium content foods include the following:
Wakame seaweed - half cup Agar seaweed - a quarter cup
Bony sardine - half cup
Diary product like milk is not a major treatment for osteoporosis. Many people in developing countries have stronger bones without depending on milk. Secondly, many adult women are unable to digest lactose.
Foods that deliver all nutrients: Rely on foods that the bones need. These foods must contain calcium, copper, magnesium, zinc, manganese, boron, and silica.
Some of the foods are soy products such as tofu and tempeh, broccoli, dark green leafy vegetables, seaweed, sardines, salmon, beans, and almonds.
Herb teas for bone
Brew tea with one part horsetail, one part alfalfa, one part sage, one part oats, and one part peppermint in 8 ounces of water, and drink 3 times daily for treatment of minor osteoporosis. The four herbs are rich in bone building minerals such as silica, potassium, and manganese.
Red clover home remedies for osteoporosis
There is evidence that red clover could be a useful treatment for osteoporosis. It contains compounds called isoflavones (sometimes referred to as phytoestrogens) that have hormonal activity.
You can make a tea with 1-2g of red clover and drink 3 times a day, or take the effective capsules of a semi-purified leaf extract of red clover.
Look for the standardized percentage of isoflavone on the label. Take it with the advice of your doctor if you are onblood-thinning medication, or if you react to red clover.
Apple cider vinegar to pass acid test
Some people experience less production of hydrochloric acid in their stomachs, which is needed to break down food so that their nutrients can be absorbed. That means their bodies absorb less calcium and other nutrients, such as vitamin B12.
One way to keep the stomach acid level high enough to help in absorption of nutrients, is to drink 8 ounces of water mixed with 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar before eating each meal.
Vitamins and minerals treatment for osteoporosis
Magnesium is calcium’s best friend
About half of the magnesium in the human body is located in the bones where it assists calcium in building strong bones. A recommended dosage of 250-350 two times daily in divided doses is suggested.
Vitamin D treatment for osteoporosis
Vitamin D is needed to absorb calcium. Most people don’t get enough of it in their diets, so a recommended dosage of 800 -1,200 IU daily is suggested for people with osteoporosis, and a 400 International Units daily for preventive measures.
It also decreases the discharge of calcium through urination.
Vitamin K treatment for osteoporosis
Vitamin K is necessary for the production of ostetocalcin, a protein that draws calcium inside the bone matrix. Low level of the K vitamin can lead to osteoporosis and bone fracture.
Take the recommended dosage of not more than 10 milligrams per day for treatment.
How to treat osteoporosis with Betaine hydrochloric acid
Betaine hydrochloric acid augments the acid levels in the stomach to digest food and absorb nutrients. The suggested dosage is one to three capsules each time you eat.
Take the supplement upon the recommendation of your health adviser if you are diagnosed with low stomach acid. Reduce dosage if you experience heartburn.
Do not use Betaine, if you take ibuprofen, aspirin, or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. The combination could increase the risk of developing ulcer.
Calcium treatment for osteoporosis
Calcium is the principal mineral for making bone. Take divided doses of 500-600 mg 2 times daily of well absorbed calcium complexes, such as chelate, hydroxyappatite, citrate-malate, and citrate.
If you take more than the dosage, it may interfere with the absorption of magnesium and certain trace minerals, causing your bones to get weaker.
Essential fatty acids boosts the absorption of calcium and deposition inside the bones. Take 4 grams of fish oil daily, with 3,000 mg of evening primrose oil daily for improvement of bones.
Homeopathic treatment for osteoporosis
Homeopathic remedies are strong and very effective in treating osteoporosis. Calcarea Carbonica, is good for calcium imbalance, aching bones, muscle cramps, and swollen joints.
Calcarea Phosphorica stimulates bone building and relieves stiffness, neck and back pain. Silicea helps thin people with bone density. These remedies are quite expensive but if you need them, you must consult a homeopath for the appropriate treatment.
General recommendation
Reduce salt and caffeine consumption. They may cause you to lose an increase amount of calcium through urine.
Overcome the fear of gaining weight or desire to remain thin and other factors that lead to eating disorders.
Show some love to some body, or take time out, meditate on Godly things, or do some social activities to reduce stress.
Do everything possible to
quit smoking
and drinking.
Almost any type of vigorous exercise such as biking, tennis, weight lifting, and walking or jogging 3-4 times a week will maintain or build bone.
Treatment for osteoporosis which is at low level can be achieved with these home remedies. But if it has developed to a high level, do not attempt to treat it yourself with natural home remedies. Seek a doctor’s advice. May be he might recommend some natural cures later.
