Natural Cures For Wrinkles Around Mouth

What home remedies are good for wrinkles around mouth, lip wrinkles, lipstick lines, and smoker lines (not necessarily caused by smoking.)?

Several people have tried costly means to reduce these lines.

However, the less costly and effective method seems to be working good for many people.

You can count on natural remedies to reduce all types of wrinkles, including facial wrinkles, and eye wrinkles. These remedies are also good for anti aging and skin care treatments.

Wrinkles around mouth can be caused by many factors. The muscles around the mouth area can constrict through excessive use like chewing and pursing.

Age also contributes to such wrinkles because of collagen and fat loss in the skin which leads to sagging around the mouth and lips.

Women are believed to experience more mouth and lip wrinkles than men.

This is because tissues around the mouth of women contain fewer sweat glands and blood vessels than men.

Here are some natural home remedies that can reverse or slow down wrinkles around the mouth and some other lip problems such as chapped lips.

Natural remedies for wrinkles around mouth

Fennel and coltsfoot remedy

This remedy helps to restrict wrinkles around the mouth and the whole face. It also softens the pores and tones the skin.

Pour ½ cup of boiling water over 1 tablespoon dried fennel leaves, and 2 tablespoons dried coltsfoot leaves.

Set it aside and cover to steep for 10 minutes. Strain and add a handful of oatmeal and ½ cup of plain yogurt to the liquid to form a paste.

Clean your face and cover it with hot wet cloth for a few minutes. Apply the paste to your mouth area.

You can also apply it to the whole face as a facial pack except the eyes. Make sure it does not get into your eyes.

Leave it on for 10 minutes and rinse off with water that has a little lemon juice added to it.This wrinkle treatment remedy is also good for curing acne.

Powdered milk and honey for wrinkles around mouth

Add ½ teaspoon of honey to 1 tablespoon powdered milk, and 2 tablespoons of beaten egg white, and mix together until it is well blended.

Apply the content to your mouth area and allow it to dry. Wash off with warm water and dry face with cloth. This remedy causes the skin to tighten up and reduce wrinkles.

Chapped lips and wrinkled lips

Chapped lips or cracked lips may be caused by many different factors including diminished moisture in the skin and around the lips, lack of certain fatty acids and cold weathers.

Cracks at corners of the mouth are different from cracked lips. Those are caused by lack of vitamin B2 (riboflavin).

Unscented cream with essential oils treatment

Get an unscented cream from any pharmacy and add healing essential oils to it. You can get the essential oils at the health store.

You can decrease the swelling and get more moisture to your lips by adding about 25 drops of lavender essential oil and 15 drops of sandalwood essential oil to the cream.

This makes an all –natural lip balm for chapped lips, lipstick lines, and smokers lines.

Calcium and flaxseed oil for chapped lips

Calcium hold cells together all over the body. The cells need fatty acids to absorb the calcium they need.

Lack of any of these can cause flaking and peeling lips, lack of beautiful skin, and wrinkles around mouth.

Take a recommended dosage of 1,000 mg of calcium along with 500 mg of magnesium, 2 times daily on an empty stomach to help the body use calcium properly.

Take 1 tablespoon of flaxseed oil daily also. You may use the flaxseed oil on salads.

  • Remember to use the basic remedy of 8 glasses of water daily. You need a lot of water as the first line of defense against chapped lips.

  • This is another cool remedy: Break a vitamin E gel and apply the oil to your lips before going out in the cold, and when you get back from the cold. Do not lick your lips though.
